About the brand: The background on LÜM-TEC

LÜM-TEC is the brainchild of its American owner, Chris Wiegand, who has been making custom built watches and reluming dials for many years. Wiegand’s exquisite workmanship has won the hearts of many customers who suggested that he should start his own brand. And so LÜM-TEC was born.

Run by its parent company, Wiegand Custom Watch LLC, LÜM-TEC is a natural progression for the Wiegand family to bring to their many fans and collectors, quality timepieces that are still affordable.

In 2008 September, the first LÜM-TEC model was launched - the M3 chronograph. Featuring the orange lume on a polished steel case, this watch proved popular and so the M4 chronograph was launched next.

Like the M3, the M4, with its contrasting orange lume against black PVD case, proved to be an instant success and sold out within a few weeks.

Following the successes of the M3 and the M4 models, LÜM-TEC launched further into their M chronograph series with the M5 phantom series, together with the M1 and M2. The launch was a major success with all the 825 M series timepieces (together with the military style Combat B1 series) sold out within 6 months!
